Pastor Alex Korstjens

Pastor Alex Korstjens is the founder and Lead Pastor of Highpoint Church. With a deep love for the local church and a heart for seeing lives transformed by the power of The Gospel, Alex has dedicated his life to ministry. After serving faithfully in music ministry for 15 years, he and his family felt the undeniable call of God to step out in faith and plant a life-giving church in Clearwater, Florida, a place where people would be devoted to biblical teaching, heartfelt prayer, authentic worship, and living a Spirit-filled life.

Alongside him in this journey is his beloved wife, Brittney, who shares his passion for ministry and has been his faithful partner in both life and calling. Together, they are raising their son, Benjamin, with a foundation of faith, love, and joy. As a family, they embrace all that Florida has to offer, cherishing their time together and making the most of every opportunity to enjoy God’s creation. Through every step of their journey, they remain committed to taking Kingdom ground by serving, loving, and leading others into a deeper relationship with Jesus.

Alex is not only a passionate preacher of God’s Word, but also a visionary leader, a gifted songwriter, and a creative mind who seeks to inspire and equip others to pursue God’s calling on their lives. His heart beats for the local church and for seeing people experience the life-changing grace of Jesus Christ. With a deep dependence on the Holy Spirit, he leads Highpoint Church with faith, boldness, and an unwavering commitment to the Glory of God alone.

Pastor Drew Unger

Born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, Pastor Drew carries a powerful testimony of God’s grace and redemption. After walking through his own journey of recovery, he has been clean and sober for 6 years, a story he now uses to bring hope and freedom to others. He holds his ordination through Men Coaching Men and has a deep passion for seeing men rise into their God-given purpose. As Highpoint’s Worship & Men’s Pastor, he leads both the congregation in authentic, Spirit-led worship and the men of the church in discipleship and brotherhood. Above all, he treasures time with his son, David, who continues to be one of his greatest joys and inspirations.

John swainbank

Born and raised in Florida, John is a 20-year veteran of the U.S. Navy and holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology. Having been on both sides of the chalkboard as both a high school educator and a student, John brings a heart for teaching and a passion for discipleship to everything he does.

As Highpoint’s Next Generations Director, John leads our Kids Services with energy, creativity, and a deep desire to see young hearts grow in their relationship with Jesus. His mission is to help kids and students discover their true identity in Christ, build a lasting faith foundation, and become strong disciples who impact their world for God.

COMMUNICATIONS DIRECTOR

Brittney is the Communications Director at Highpoint Church, where she leads with a clear mission: to make Jesus known and to see lives transformed by His power. With over 10 years of experience in marketing across both corporate and church settings, Brittney brings creativity, strategy, and passion to every message she helps share. She believes the story of what God is doing through Highpoint and its people deserves to be told with excellence and boldness. At the heart of her calling is a deep desire for people to encounter Jesus and find freedom in Him.
